Paxus is currently seeking an experienced EL1 Senior DevOps Engineer for a non-ongoing position through to June 2021 based in Canberra. As a senior DevOps engineer you will lead a driven, skilled and busy DevOps team to implement improvements in the department and automation delivery and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with project teams to determine where they can add or increase capability across DevOps initiatives.
• Train and guide teams on their implementations to increase DevOps understanding and delivery, allowing them to take ownership of their processes
• Design DevOps implementations within the constraints required for security
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels in the conduct of investigations for solution proposals, and feasibility studies
• Implement DevOps pipelines

About you:

• Ability to increase good practice by gathering feedback and refining existing processes.
• Ability to achieve results as an individual and as a member or leader of a team in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Experience in the following:
• Software development automation and continuous delivery.
• Implementing DevOps principles.
• Collaboration with a variety of teams, including development, business, IT Security and IT Infrastructure teams.
• Knowledge and experience with a range of tools including Git, Jenkins, Maven and Octopus deploy. Experience with AWS is desirable but not essential.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
