A leader in Integrated Workplace Management Software, our client provides a platform for complete facility management needs, dedicated to continued innovation within the Higher Education industry.
For many years they have helped Universities and K-12 schools to improve the way they provide services to students, faculty, and the campus community at large using innovative software products.
Having recently launched operations in the Australia/ New Zealand market, they are looking to expand their team with a Solution Engineer.
The Role:
- Be the primary technical resource for the field sales force.
- Actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process
- Work as a key technical advisor and product advocate for products and solutions.
- Be the product expert and articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
- Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
- Maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Understand and effectively explain the benefits of the IWMS Products to all levels including line of business Directors and "C" level executives.
- Perform needs and requirement analysis for all new and back to base customers;
- Develop, present and deliver high-impact demonstrations of the solution as required;
- Manage and prioritise sales opportunities;
- Closely collaborate with Account Executives to prioritise critical success factors and build pipeline;
Background and Qualifications:
- 5 + years in a comparable solution engineering position supporting the sales cycle for any Integrated Workplace Management solutions;
- Experience with Higher Education Estate operational solutions and a thorough understanding of their principles – especially Strategic Asset Management;
- General understanding of databases, application servers and SQL;
- Previous application experience in one or more of the following desired: AiM, FAMIS, Maximo, TRIRIGA, Archibus, Planon, FM:Systems, TMA, or others
- Solid presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Proven track record of increasing deal size and accelerating the buying process;
- BA/MBA or equivalent applicable work experience from top tier college/university
- Strong desire to be in technology sales;
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills;
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively;
- Proficiency in MS PPT, MS Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Effectively use CRM software to maintain and plan daily activities
- High energy and positive attitude as a team player
- Ability to work remotely
- Ability to take initiative
Travel: Position may require travel up to 75% domestically with occasional international travel.
